The 16th Annual Wing Fling is announced to be held at Carolina Beach Boardwalk for the second year in a row. The event will be held March 24th 11:00am – 5:00pm, with tickets going on sale February 10th at wilmingtonwingfling.com. Wing Fling is the perfect event to enjoy friends, drinks, music, and wings. General admission tickets are $15 which include
s wing tasting. VIP tickets are $20 and will include early entry through a VIP gate and free shuttle ride to the event. The proceeds benefit Wilmington’s Residential Adolescent Achievement Place and the National Education Foundation scholarship fund. In 2011, Joel Macon, former Carolina Beach Mayor, welcomed Wing Fling to Please Island. The big turnout and extra visitors to Pleasure Island left him happy. Macon was not the only one left happy. Because the drinking was kept inside the gated area set for the event, Carolina Beach Chief, Billy Younginer, was pleased as well.
