Newest Endangered Location Released!
And, guess what…it’s in our backyard!
The proposed Titan cement plant has landed the Cape Fear River Basin on the Southern Environmental
Law Center’s latest list of endangered locations. To learn more about Titan, click here.
You may have seen the Cape Fear Region branded with the words, “Stop Titan.” And, for good reason.
The proposed Titan project would destroy nearly 1,000 wetlands, according to SELC’s latest list.
The plant has already received a permit which would allow the company to operate out of a pre-existing
facility in Castle Hayne. The permit has been challenged by area environmental groups.
