Carolina Beach (Kind of a Big Deal)
Carolina Beach, locally known as Pleasure Island, is the People’s Beach. Praised for their summer carnival and their year-round boardwalk fun, you are guaranteed to have a good time on the island. Take the three-person bike for a spin and enjoy a renowned Britt’s Donut. Happen to be in town during the summer months? You may catch a fireworks show on Thursday nights, after a local band entertains all those who pass by.
If you hang out with the locals, you will find they are a group of laid back people, who work hard and play hard. A local can be found playing softball on one of the Pleasure Island Adult Softball Leagues, or grabbing a beer at the Fat Pelican. No matter the weather, Carolina Beach is a good time. If you are up for more of a hike, hit the trails at Carolina Beach State Park. Or, if your legs could use a rest, drive your car to the Drive-On Beach.
Regardless of your interest, something that you won’t want to miss, is the biggest show Carolina Beach has seen in a while. Hard tickets just arrived at a few locations in Carolina Beach! So, don’t miss out. None other than Gregg Allman will be gracing the 19th Annual Pleasure Island Seafood & Jazz Festival!
