No matter how eclectic your tastes or how adventurous you are (or aren't), from Carolina Beach, to Kure Beach to Fort Fisher, there are activities abounding for all ages and all tastes.

Naturally the warm waters, sandy beaches and plentiful sunshine are the mainstays of our island entertainment. If you simply want to soak up some rays or float on warm waves, you have miles of beach to choose from. However, if lazing the day away is a little too restful for you, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Fort Fisher offer multiple outlets for all that pent up energy.

If cruisin' is your style, you may choose to dance under the stars on the Henrietta III or the Royal Winner Queen for a romantic evening cruise. Or perhaps you're an early riser, in which case a coffee sunrise cruise on the "Trippin' Daisy" might be more your style. You might even want to try a little deep sea fishing with Winner Boats where fourth generation sea captains will help you enjoy the thrill of the catch.

And if water is your thing but not particularly from a boat, try fishing from the Carolina Beach Fishing Pier (where you can slide right into the High Tide Lounge for a little refreshment - liquid or otherwise). Of course we musn't forget the education minded vacationer! Are you a history freak? Then Fort Fisher is your dream come true. Tour Shepherd's Battery where they have a reconstructed, fully operational 32 pound cannon. Visit the North Carolina Aquarium. Or maybe you would rather stop by the Pleasure Island Sea Turtle Project where their mission is to save endangered or injured sea turtles. Or how about an eco-tour in "Zork" - a wild, zebra stripped Land Rover with horns? And then there's the beach. Always. Maybe you would prefer to walk the miles of beaches just to collect a few sea shells and think profound thoughts or watch an incredible sunrise or sunset.
